THE UDP SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT THIS ISN’T STRENGTH, BUT SERIOUS DIVISION. AND DIVISION ONLY CREATES WEAKNESS! DENIAL ISN’T GOING TO HELP.

The UDP won Barrow only thousands of votes in the last few elections after 2021. We hate what Talib has done, but if he denies UDP 14,000 votes, it will help Barrow win! Please let low-IQ folks get this in their low-IQ heads! This isn’t the time for hero worship or mudslinging! We really need to unite against Barrow. We need stats, not bizarre claims of deification and undeserved praise!

Darboe can’t be right every time, everywhere, and against everybody! Was he right against:

1. Sheriff Dibba in 2001 flagbearer conflict? (I covered and reported that)
2. Was he right against Halifa Sallah (NADD) 2006)?
3. Was he right against OJ Jallow when he (Darboe) came out from prison and broke the coalition, angered OJ to the extent that OJ had to announce that Ousainou Darboe “Is the biggest enemy to The Gambia than Yahya Jammeh and if Jammeh were to come back from Equitorial Guinea,” (he OJ) “would host him in his house”?

Remember the sacrifice OJ made for Darboe to support him during the 2001 YMCA Coalition talks which kicked out Sheriff Dibba!!! I was there, so I ought to know! (I covered and reported that too!)

4. Was Darboe right again when Waa Juwara left the UDP to join Jammeh?
5. Was Darboe right again when Dembo By-force left and joined Barrow?
6. Was Darboe right always when people abandon him for worse people?

Those of you that say Darboe sacrificed a lot for Gambia! Please give me a list of his sacrifices better than Omar Bun Jeng, Sheikh Hatab Bojang, Sir Dawda Jawara, etc. And the biggest sacrifice you claim is, well, he represented some people in court after the 1981 coup. Listen, poor critical thinker! How many Gambians dug boreholes for poor and dry villages free of charge? Do we have to elect those people too into office by force?

We saw a young Gambian lady collect donations and dug a borehole for a very poor village in The Gambia. She never advertised herself or call the media or Jalibas to serenade her at the opening. She only drove there on the final day of work with a car and one or two people. Few minutes before turning the tap on, villagers (women, mothers, kids, etc.,) lined up with their water carriers.

We watched this from afar and couldn’t control our tears. Even the young lady herself was seen wiping tears! Guess what, this deed will follow her to her grave. Not just humans, but insects and other members of the eco-system will continue to benefit from this borehole even after the young lady gets old and leaves this world. This is called “Sadaqatu Jaariya.”

But for low-IQ folks, Darboe representing someone in court on pro bono is better than all the boreholes dug by unannounced Gambians, this young lady included. But how many Gambians cling unto a flag-bearer position just because they dug a borehole? And how many other deeds are done by Gambians that are far better than digging a borehole?

We seriously need a united opposition front with a candidate that is a unifier! We don’t belong to the Talib or Darboe or any other camp. We root for a charismatic candidate and a serious unifier, not a divider. We are disappointed with both Darboe and Talib! But please, you still have time to reconcile and unify the country against Barrow! History is watching all of you!
