Paranoid Barrow Gov’t Recruits More Spies Including Nurses, Teachers, Imams?

A curious recruitment of over 300 Personnel is underway at the National Intelligence agency in Banjul. “We don’t know why they’re hiring some new agents but I can say with certainty that President Barrow and his criminal cartel government are paranoid,” a key insider tipped forGambia News Saturday.

Just few years ago, the NIA under Ousman Sowe hired over 350 NIA agents shortly before the 2021 Presidential elections.

Observers have raised concern over why a small country like “Gambia would need such a high number of intelligence agents as if we’re in a police state,” quipped another observer.

About eight weeks ago, The Gambia Police hired over a thousand police officers some of whose mental health status is highly questionable,” informers continued.

“They hired some criminals and mentally challenged personnel as police officers…there was no proper screening and background checks,” It went on.

All this [vetting] was disregarded putting the public and property at risk. “This is just a matter of time,” it said.

It could be recalled the National army too hired over a thousand young soldiers for what “we don’t know,” it mentioned. Our sources concluded that even nurses, teachers, imams and other non-uniform assets are being recruited to spy on ordinary Gambians.
