WE’VE STILL BEEN WAITING FOR A SINGLE OFFICIAL STATEMENT ABOUT SUCH A SERIOUS MATTER!

After Jammeh’s bold claims that Senegal had been stealing Gambia’s oil last May, we contacted the Senegalese government through their embassy in Washington D.C for their response. They asked us to formerly send an official request which we did since Monday, June 2nd 2025.

In our request, we communicated our will to get a response from a government spokesperson in Dakar, if possible. But we would have been satisfied with an embassy spokesperson as well. It’s been almost a month now and we are still waiting.

We even reminded the embassy that it was not in the best interest of Senegal to be quiet about this. At the same time, we had also contacted geological experts, geoscientists, and oil drilling specialists to shed light on what had potential to indict not only the Barrow gov’t but Macky Sall and the current Senegalese gov’t respectively. Follow that story here where we interviewed Dutch scientist Henk Kombrink:

“IS THE SANGOMAR FIELD REALLY NOT EXTENDING INTO GAMBIAN WATERS AT ALL?” DUTCH OIL SPECIALIST AND GEO-SCIENTIST HENK KOMBRINK ASKS IN AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH FORGAMBIA! – forGambia News

Why is the Senegalese gov’t still quiet, raising further suspicion? Is answering simple questions any difficult task? Now, even Senegalese media personalities are saying that Gambia really has oil. Other reports say traces of that oil were found in wells in what appeared to be some post-theft realizations. Even if we got an official statement from the Senegalese gov’t, wouldn’t it be foolish to ignore oil experts and drilling scientists and listen to politicians?
