Reader, we begin serializing some of the lies and the lying Gambians that tell them just for their filthy, selfish, and addictive interests. These liars don’t have a skill, education, or art they are using to help the country. Instead, they use Orwellian newsvoice to misinform poor and suffering Gambians while they divert the nation’s meagre resources to venal pockets.
Prototypical in such dishonest sloganeering is using terms and phraseology that are exactly the opposite of what President Barrow has been doing. An example is the bowel-irritable lie that Barrow is focused on a “development agenda.” Really? Where? And who are these creatures trafficking these lies?
- Seedy Njie, a mistranslation of our Gambian DNA base sequence: Only this could have brought about such a creature in our midst! This oompa loompa, in a lethargic response to our May 10th 2021 exhortation (of Dr. Sedat Jobe to Adama Barrow, advising him not to run in the December election) lied that Sedat was fired by Jammeh as a minster.
Seedy Njie, if you’re on visual hallucinogens, the rest of The Gambia is not. Sedat was never fired as minister by Jammeh! Sedat honorably resigned. I wrote that headline on the Daily Observer front page. In fact, I might have been the only journalist Sedat spoke to on the phone few hours after his resignation.
To this day, I could only think that his resignation might have something to do with British High Commissioner Bharat Joshi who Jammeh kicked out of the country. But Sedat most humbly refused to tell me the details on the phone.
And guess what, the Daily Observer phone rang and the editors said the caller was asking for me. To my surprise, it was Bharat Joshi himself, the then Deputy British High Commissioner to The Gambia. He said he had called to invite me to a party. I had no idea!
That party was his send-off party. Ask OJ Jallow, D.A Jawo, and many other VIPs who were there. I had a wonderful chit chat with all these folks at the diplomat’s party. But only Sedat can tell the real reason he resigned. So, Seedy lying Njie, please stop spewing from your behind! Sedat wasn’t fired, but resigned most honorably!
And before you whiz more filth from your rectum, I was taken to the State House few hours after speaking to Sedat on the phone. Some high-ranking government officials, at State House, were suggesting that Sedat rescind his decision and come back to the gov’t—something Sedat never did.
I was present when such discussions were unfolding at State House in a rather noisy room where everyone was throwing in suggestions. That’s how integral Sedat is. And mark you, I never knew Sedat personally. I was just a journalist.
Why was Bharat Joshi declared persona non grata?
Like Sedat’s resignation, I don’t know. But I wrote another front-page lead story in August 2001 about the first ever coalition talks to oust Jammeh. Bharat Joshi was invited by the opposition at the talks. I was there. During question time, I was asking Ousainou Darboe and co simple questions.
But the Deputy British High Commissioner called those questions, “intelligent” when he walked to me and personally shook my hands as a young reporter. It was my belief since then, that it was his presence at this meeting that Jammeh kicked him out of Gambia.
And Sedat might have advised Jammeh against such, as our foreign secretary, then. But Sedat is alive to tell the story. Today, the NPP congenital liar is telling people that Sedat was fired by Jammeh from his ministerial post.
We still have Sedat’s interview with Baiyo Sonko running on our radio. Every patriotic Gambian knows he had nothing but honest and truthful words for and about Barrow. But Seedy Njie is threatened because if Barrow leaves office, he (Njie) won’t have anywhere to milk from!
Just like before the impasse, Jammeh sincerely called Barrow to congratulate him. Shortly after, filthy self-centered folks poisoned his mind. Thus, Seedy Njie became a few weeks’ minster. He almost set our motherland on fire.
He knew some Gambians would tear him apart with bare hands if they got hold of him. Thus, he might have fought tooth and nail to be taken away by Jammeh. When Yankuba Badgie and others were still walking free and even shaking the hand of Barrow publicly, he knew he had a chance to live freely in The Gambia.
But let’s analyze how liars like Seedy Njie operate. He says the opposite of what is really happening. These are the same folks behind Jammeh’s downfall. Like today, he’s saying that Barrow is focused on a development agenda. Really? Development agenda such as our sisters, aunts, and mothers dying every day in hospitals Barrow refuses to buy enough gloves for?
Barrow is focused on development when our hospitals lack the most basic of supplies such as oxygen? Barrow is focused on development when our hospitals don’t have blood banks, refrigerators for blood, simple MRI scanners, etc?
Barrow is focused on development when he seized tractors from our poor farmers and replaced them with donkeys? Barrow is focused on development when he handed over our sovereignty to Macky Sall as to leave our youth hopeless without jobs, our marine resources depleted while Gambians suffer in hunger; our families aren’t safe any more while criminals from Senegal and the subregion slaughter Gambians in their homes, streets, or kidnap their children; dead bodies of Gambians easily found everywhere; consumer goods sky-rocketing in price, making cost of living unprecedented and unbearable? And Barrow taking D150,000.00 from our state coffers every day for just fish money! Is this a focus on development agenda?
- Liar-in-Chief Adama Barrow: He should have been at the very top of the list. But we’ve already enumerated his lies over and over as he proceeds to pour them out. Barrow, the liar-in-chief said he had built 600km road network in the Gambia, 4000 classrooms, two smart gardens in Kombo.
Barrow, we’re simply asking you to just come out and show us where these developments are! But these are even far-fetched! What about, “l’ll serve for only three years and return to my business,” and later lying that during campaigns, one can say anything (meaning, one can lie rocks and mountains). But after winning, he can do otherwise!
- Dou Sanno, another Liars’ League Champion: He promised the people of Dippa Kunda that he had in his possession a bag load of fresh minted money that not even air had touched yet. But he would only distribute that money after Barrow had formed his political party.
This is the same accident of a Gambian that is telling people that Barrow works on principles. What principles? Like stealing D150,000.00 a day from our coffers; D35 million Fatou-Bah Barrow Chinese bribery; stealing and buying buses and trucks for the failing NPP when our police and PIU don’t have the simplest work vehicles they need to do their job!
Just months ago, a bag of cement in the Gambia was D290. Later, it witnessed a percent increase of over 30%. When the public cried out, the lying gov’t lied that it had ordained an official price cut of nothing more than D305 a bag. But, again, a lie and liar are the same! The cheapest we could find cement at is D360 a bag in the Gambia presently under Barrow!
Is it principle to waste our D125 million on the draft constitution only to block it because Barrow wants to rule fifteen years or more? Do you see the Orwellian pattern here where a liar blatantly lies by spewing opposite connotations? In George Orwell’s 1984, for the benefit of those who may not have read it,
“War is peace”
“Freedom is slavery”
“Ignorance is strength”
This is a systematic propagandist scheme to forcefully misinform people about the reality. The NPP is doing exactly that! If Seedy Lying Njie really believes that Barrow has majority of Gambians behind him and is going to win with a landslide, why not even hold the Brikama Area Council bye-election? Or why not simply hold a referendum for the draft constitution? Or yet, why not even organize a congress for the NPP and invite Gambians to attend it just like any other party does without any cash inducement?
- Henry Gomez, a super-Liar, failed ‘semester’ and now a Diplomatic passport dealer: I was almost going to check ancestry.com to see if this guy is 98.9% jackass, 1% Satan, and 0.1% hog. But I was like, no need! It would be a waste of money! He’s another congenital liar who does it with abandon! He desperately worked to sell the lie that the opposition wants to get to the presidency “through the back door.” Really, Mr. Henry? The opposition challenged you in Brikama to hold fresh elections. Knowing the suicidal outcome of that, you refused and even altered the election laws to apply retroactivity. You even burnt down our fisheries ministry in another failed fetish!
Who really wants to get to power through the back door, Henry? You can’t even hold a referendum for the draft constitution because you know Gambians don’t want thieves, liars, betrayers, opportunists, scumbags in power. You know yourself!
Your party even had to lie to the general public that Wally Ballogo Seck and other artists were going to perform at the Independence Stadium just to lure a crowd. But when people knew that it was another lie, two-thirds of the stadium got up and marched out, leaving your liar-in-chief lying to an empty stadium!
- Saihou Mballow: Another lying micro-organism without remorse that tells lies to our poor tax payers, his parochial vista used to be on air with this editor, lamenting how Barrow has failed Gambia and Gambians. In fact, he threatened that he would organize a demonstration against Barrow if he (Barrow) set foot in the United States.
Later, he was offered a job and all of a sudden Barrow is the best and will win 98% of votes. And what exactly is his job? Deputy Youth Adviser! And those youths are being slaughtered in their homes, streets, public places, etc! It is under his short-sighted government’s tuition that Gambia’s youths are suffering in such an unprecedented way!
They are still deporting our ‘Backway Boys.’ Our youths don’t have any hope. Those that protest to express their views are rounded up, arrested, and thrown in jail. Yet, this liar is telling the nation that rising crime has a correlation with development!
Like other liars, Adama Barrow has brought so much development to the country! In just this one sentence, he has told two serious lies: 1. that crime has a direct correlation with development 2. That Adama Barrow has brought development to the Gambia! Is that why our hospitals don’t have the basic supplies?
Is that why our women continue to bleed to death in our hospitals? Is that why we don’t even have enough gloves in our hospitals? Is that why the NPP has more buses and other vehicles than our PIU personnel? Is that why Gambians are dying of hunger, malnutrition, and now high crime in their homes, streets, markets, etc?
