Six Gambia Gov’t officials including Central Bank Governor Buah Saidy and Finance Minister Seedy Keita are in Washington for talks with the IMF, sources tipped forGambia News Thursday.

Their delegation includes other names we choose to withhold. But they are permanent secretaries and senior officials from the Finance Ministry and Central Bank of The Gambia.

If readers could recall, the International Monetary Fund would seek drastic measures against the corrupt Barrow gov’t for possible falsifacation of numbers just like the corrupt Macky Sall gov’t did back in Senegal.

They secure loans the purposes of which Gambians never see at work while citizens lack basic hospitals and supplies. But corrupt Gambia gov’t officials live larger than American federal workers.

Again, instead of sending just one man, there are six of them wasting tax-payer money from one of the poorest countries on earth. Meanwhile, the American embassy in Banjul should, by now be aware of the Auditor General’s ordeal as well as serious revelations of inveterate corruption of the Barrow gov’t.
