A scathing revelation reaching forGambia News says over 20 thousand Gambian diplomatic passports were recklessly issued to Gambians and foreigners alike by the Barrow gov’t. The issuance occurred from 2017 and is ongoing.

An insider tipped, “Can you imagine none of these individuals are in our diplomatic services. [Some] are nonentities and unscrupulous elements [colluding] with the government.”

Sources furthered that former Senegalese President, Macky Sall and family were all given Gambian diplomatic passports. “I can tell you even some senior officials under Macky benefited from this criminal scheme.”

We have been sitting on this tip for a while now.  “Just find out how one former Macky’s stalwart escaped to France. Most of them were aided through The Gambia to France,” an insider added.

Some so-called Gambian businesses men and women and a bunch of NPP supporters, home and abroad also benefited from the nerve-wrecking scheme.

President Barrow’s sisters and two of his nephews, Amadou Sanneh and Njaga Sanneh were all issued the diplomatic passports without due process. Some ministers’ wives and children have also been beneficiaries.

We contacted the director of immigration numerous times but could not secure a fitting response. Lang Yabou, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs was said to be out of the country.

Other beneficiaries of this massive blemish on our national document and diplomatic privilege include nationals from China, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Senegal and Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau, Columbia, Venezuelan, Mauritania, Mali, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Brazil, Angola, Nigeria, Liberia Sierra Leon, Germany, France, UK, and Holland.

As for Macky Sall’s escapee to France through Gambia airport and diplomatic document, we challenge the Barrow gov’t and immigration authorities to dispute our report by working with the National Assembly to summon the former Director of Immigration Seedy Touray (it happened during his time) as well as the Director of GCAA (Gambia Civil Aviation Authority).

Every airport has a departure and arrival log they keep. All we ask is for them to go through the log and see who left with our diplomatic passport, especially from Senegal (when they are not even Gambian).

We have names of other beneficiaries of the same diplomatic passport crime against our country and immigration department through the Barrow gov’t. We will not reveal everything for now. Let them wait; we are also waiting.
