A new batch of Senegalese soldiers is in the final stages of preparation to touch The Gambian soil on a so-called peace keeping mission. It has been such a peace-keeping mission in Foni where the elderly were forced to “Monkey dance” by the very hostile, oppressive, and occupying Senegalese forces.

One old man, a native of Foni, and a Gambian went looking for his missing cow only to find it being slaughtered by the invading Senegalese forces. He asked simple questions and was kidnapped only to be forced to dance in front of thieves calling themselves “peace-keepers.”

Their mission in The Gambia follows the defeat of long-time ruler and dictator, Yahya Jammeh in an election in 2016. However, their deployment in The Gambia has been characterized by abuses and the shooting of peaceful protesters in which one Haruna Jatta was  killed  in cold blood. No serious investigation was mounted by the Barrow administration to date.

Like Darfur in Sudan, Senegal plans to maintain a continuous supply of military forces. But they are hustlers in military uniform who are so hungry as to steal and slaughter the natives’ livestock. They also shoot and kill the same natives in cold blood. But they are always quick to lie that they are there to protect Gambians! Protection from who?

Gambia is not Darfur and no one can make our country a source of military employment for hustlers. We will take our country back from these very hostile forces, God-willing and a real commission of inquiry will bring justice for Gambians.
