Senegalese media and political commentators say French troops were patrolling the streets of Dakar as citizens came out in numbers after opposition leader, Ousmane Sonko was arrested Wednesday morning. Videos show Sonko cooperating well with security forces. Pro government sources say the popular opposition stalwart has been slapped with fresh charges of incitement of violence.

Sonko was directed by the Macky Sall forces which roads to use and which not to use as he came out of his house, heading to surrender to the authorities following the infamous Adji Sarr accusations. Adji Sarr, currently, is believed to be hiding in a hotel in The Gambia.

Sonko was blocked on his way by pro Macky Sall forces as he headed to his appointment with the authorities. Later, the Sall government said he was late to show up even though his car was blocked on the road by government forces.

Some lawyers wanted to volunteer to go pick Sonko from where Sall’s forces cornered him, wasting his time. But police wouldn’t listen to those lawyers either. The Sall gov’t knew very well the Adji Sarr scheme wasn’t working. They had to come up with plan B.

We have been warning Senegambians that France never wanted to leave Africa alone. Without Africa, France is dead, according to former president Jaques Chiraq. Ousmane Sonko is an anti-imperialist. France would do whatever it takes to either imprison or silence him.

France has been using our own African brothers against Africans’ freedom, economic progress and prosperity. Macky Sall is among those kinds of African rotten-bloods. Reports say he’s left the country again. Each time the masses rise like this, he runs to his slave masters.

People like Macky Sall aren’t there to work for their people. But they are there to work for France. Macky doesn’t shed any tears when he sees Senegalese youths snatched from mattresses they hide in to avoid deportation somewhere in Spain or Italy.

Macky Sall doesn’t care how many Senegalese are dying in poverty, or hustling in poor Gambia. He doesn’t care about the people’s poverty and suffering. Again, every time he provokes the masses, he flees to France. Quite amazing is the fact that all these key opposition figures were arrested on March 3 of three different years.
