Reports reaching forGambia say Gambia’s First Lady Fatou-Bah Barrow had been recruiting people to set up different pseudo-names online to create the impression that APRC’s Jolas and Mandinkas are attacking people on social media in favor of Barrow’s NPP. We couldn’t get the First Lady’s response to these allegations. If these happen to be true, we urge our First Lady and her supporters to put Gambia first and desist from moves even slightly close to the allegations raised in this article.

The false online names are used as attack dogs for NPP online, bearing fake Mandinka names against UDP posts, as well as fake Jola names against posts that will not only sensitize, but drive genuine APRC supporters away from the failing president’s NPP.

An example of such fake Jola names include, but not limited to ““Jola Foni-coo SWBadjie,” an appellation that couldn’t even spell Fonyinko correctly. We had our own encounter with this one last Friday. They desperately try to create names that sound as Jola as possible to the extent of adding Foni just to convince people.

Similar names are used against UDP posts on social media, but in Mandinka formats and last names such as “Fatty” or “Darboe” to erode the poise of UDP supporters. But observers have seen how the UDP is growing exponentially! Since Thursday, the same NPP online crusaders have been jousting our headline ferociously.

The best way to shame such fake online characters is to invite them for a live debate, especially when no right-minded or patriotic Gambian can defend Barrow’s policies! They promised to come for one on our radio, but actually fled and never showed up or attacked our headline again.

Our Thursday, April 1st 2020 headline rattled such online bulldogs set up by the uneducated First Lady whose top priority has been nothing but to loot state coffers or devour bribes from special interest groups while her fellow Gambian women are dying in labor due to lack of basic supplies at our hospitals.

And most sadly, she uses the loot to buy bleaching products for her pathetic skin when most Gambians are struggling to put simple and basic food supplies on the table for the most basic meals thanks to the uneducated, unpatriotic, and most selfish policies of her unthinking husband.

Her husband, who thinks lying to poor Gambians routinely is a must is clinging unto to power at all costs, especially in the wake of peaceful protests that simply reminded him of his seminal campaign promises, none of which have been delivered.

We urge our Jola and Mandinka brothers to continue sharing the long-standing love they have always had in the Smiling Coast. Adama Barrow will come and go, but our marriages, neighborhoods, mosques, churches, and intercultural relations are here to stay. Don’t allow a lying president, a thief, and betrayer to keep lying to you just to divide you for NPP to stay in power.
