JAMMEH ERA N.I.A REACTIVATED, DRESS AS POLICE WITH UNIDENTIFIED VEHICLES, CONFIDENTIAL SOURCES SAY

Former Barrow Information minister, Demba Ali Jawo, fondly dubbed D.A is one of the latest Gambians to be put under the paranoid Barrow gov’t radar for unlawful arrests and detention, a spree of which the smallest country on mainland Africa is witnessing these days.

Days ago, we published a list of Gambians targeted by the Barrow hounds, including Madi Jobarteh who is now arrested. The avalanche of these vicious arrests and detentions is executed by gov’t intelligence agents dressed in police outfit and with vehicles without tags.

This is why, according to sources, there is a communication gap between those hunting down and arresting people, and the Gambia police department. Simply, the GPF may not be aware of some arrests until they are done, especially amid nauseating cliches like, “The order came from the top.”

We will call D.A as we did others. We don’t have time to run this little medium. We call on journalists in the country to shun checkbook journalism and do their job for the poor and voiceless as well as every citizen or resident.

Also, our informers say Lamin Cham of Standard Newspaper is another target. We did publish a scoop about a meeting held at State House where plans to conduct this vicious witch-hunt was charted out in the presence of Barrow shortly before he took off for his country-wide tour.
