Our informers say the now resigned Gambian Justice Minister Ba Tambadou was allegedly fretful of a surveillance he and his family were subjected to thanks to the well-circulated coup rumor weeks ago.

Tambadou, former CDS Masanneh Kinteh, and other Barrow inner-circlers were mentioned in a whatsapp audio coup mongery. Omar Sanneh (Baitullai) was the voice heard in the circulated audio according to those who knew him. 

The Barrow government, as paranoid as they are did not receive the rumor in jest. In fact, they issued a press release, a development we termed, “a knee-jerk response.” 

Consequently, we reported how Ma Sanneh Kinteh was ushered into the State House for questioning about the treasonous rumors rife with his name. You can read that in our archives here.

Our revered State House sources say Ba Tambadou and his family were put under a surveillance since his name surfaced alongside Ma Sanneh’s in the rumor. We called it rumor because nothing could be sillier than it.

Our sources, for months and years have been telling us about the murky relationship between Ba Tambadou and the Barrow gov’t. We reported several times that Ba could be swept in another reshuffle. Just last week, we were told that he could resign any moment thenceforth.
