Reports reaching forGambia say the Barrow administration held a secret meeting to make sure the Gambia’s Inspector General of Police does not grant a permit for gadfly 3YRS Jotna’s January re-protest.

We don’t want to waste much ink on this one too. But we did publish months ago that Barrow’s intelligence did warn him against underestimating the group. The government, besides vehement propaganda accused the rightfully-emerged group of planned violence seriously contrary to what the world saw on December 16th 2019.

Then why is the Barrow camp organizing a counter-protest if 3YRS Jotna was not a force to reckon with? Is the group they billed as bad not inspiring Barrow to launch a counter-protest? Is the APRC also inspired by the group to organize a protest for Jammeh’s comeback?
