Gambian Protester Lamin
Dampha in Mile 2; Nothing
Heard of Senegalese Murderer!
The issue isn’t whether the family of the late Gibril Ceesay has accepted the money or not. The government of The Gambia still hasn’t officially released the name of the Senegalese national, the armed robber that broke into the house of a native, attacked and killed him in cold blood. We have not seen the government saying much about the killer. But we hear enough about the 250 Senegalese nationals seeking refuge in Batokunku as if the Senegalese are the victims and Gambians are the nasty criminals.
We also heard of D480,000.00 worth of supplies accorded to them. While such is a laudable humanitarian gesture, what about our hospitals where our women continue to perish during childbirth for lack of the most basic supplies?
Look at such prompt action to cater to Senegalese nationals, and please look at how our hospitals fare when it comes to the same or more robust action we badly need from the same government to save Gambian lives!
Look at how the people of Sanyang are being treated in their own country while aggressors who have been attacking them are given D480,000.00 worth of supplies! As if this isn’t any insult to injury or death, look at the picture of Lamin Dampha, a youth arrested!
One has to prevent mass indignation at its grass root before it spirals to what we saw in Sanyang last Monday. There is a long list of events enumerating Senegalese aggression, disrespect, and hostile behavior against Gambians which the Barrow administration systematically ignores.
Lamin Dampha is made the bigger criminal here by this filthy administration while we hear nothing about the armed robber and killer who started everything in Sanyang on that day of protest. Where are patriotic Gambian journalists again?
Like the Senegalese diplomat who had been raping a Gambian underaged girl, we still hear nothing about Gibril Ceesay’s killer from the gov’t. That rapist diplomat was given a sweet escape out of Gambia and taken back to Senegal!
Or if these are far-fetched, what about the Senegalese drivers that run over our Gambian security personnel with cars and fracture their legs in broad daylight? Do we hear anything about those criminals? But Lamin Dampha of Sanyang is the bigger criminal here!
Or what about the armed Senegalese forestry men who continually trespass into Gambia’s villages, get into altercations with villagers and threaten them with weapons? What about the 16-year-old Gambian boy captured and jailed in Senegal for fishing in Senegalese territory?
What do we think would have happened to that boy if he had killed a Senegalese national on Senegalese soil? What about the frequent trespassing of Senegalese army into Gambian territory, again, to argue with our Gambian soldiers on Gambian soil?
Or what about the other Senegalese criminal who tied the legs of a young Gambian girl, raped and murdered her in cold blood? Do we hear much about that nasty criminal? Why not? Because we have a gov’t that thinks Gambian lives don’t matter!
D10,000 Ebrima Sillah
Sillah went to Sanyang to buy support or placate the villagers away from voting Adama Barrow out. But with only D10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Dalasis). Certainly, he cares very little about the loss of life of a Gambian! In fact, here’s the proof: Is Gibril Ceesay’s life worth D10,000 while Barrow’s daily fish money is D150,000.00?
Also, why didn’t you give the D10,000 directly to the bereaved family? Instead, you thought it was enough to buy both the deceased’s family and the people of Sanyang. In these, are signs for the collapse and humiliating defeat of a gov’t that cares less about its people.
We lamented how the late IGP’s life was seen by his boss, Adama Barrow, right? Macky Sall thought the protesters were going to reach the palace and behead him like King Louis XIV of France. Oh yes, the French know the power of the masses! They don’t joke about it!
It was a similar protest that killed France’s King Louis XIV in the September of 1715. Macky Sall must have been wetting his pants all those days Dakar was burning! I saw, with my own eyes, pictures of French soldiers driving the tanks France would use to remind our Senegalese brethren of the infamous Thiaroye Massacre of December 1944.
So, Macky couldn’t believe he survived! And his tail, Adama Barrow had to help boost his ego after he finally mustered the courage to come out of his rat hole. But at the same time, IGP Mamour Jobe died back home and in Barrow’s head, “Macky’s life is more valuable than IGP Jobe!”
Reader, if any Gambian follows Adama Barrow, you’re either sick in mind or self-destructive! Adama Barrow thinks Gambians are worth D10,000. But Macky Sall is worth everything, including not attending the IGP’s funeral. This is the root cause of Senegalese continuous aggression against Gambians and the knee-jerk growing anger against barrow and Macky Sall.
