In what is appearing to be a fake military coup hour-by-hour in Guinea Bissau, very critical information reaching forGambia News say Gambia’s Embassy in Bissau was the “deposed” president’s first planned refuge.
But Gambia’s ambassador to Bissau, Amie Fabouray was not in Bissau to pick her calls, very confidential sources divulged. She is, as we publish this, back home in The Gambia.
Informers on the ground told forGambia News that Embaló is still enjoying the privileges of a roaming phone number and still maintains the same body guards with him at the Defense headquarters of Guinea-Bissau. His interior minister, Kandeh, is believed to be his blood relative, a cousin to exactly quote sources.
The Embaló gov’t sent the military to the Gambia’s ambassador’s residence but was told she left for The Gambia since last week. As a result, “they now decided to keep him at the military defense headquarters,” inner circles disclosed.
But the ambassador’s country is under an ECOWAS military occupation since 2017 to “keep peace,”—the same peace Bissau far more needs right now.
Gambia didn’t suffer a military coup in 2017 but continues to be occupied by ECOMIG who are now needed in Guinea Bissau if this isn’t another desperate attempt to keep a stooge or his stooge in power?
The ECOWAS boys club of corrupt, overstaying power gluttons keep proving to the rest of the world that ECOWAS isn’t here for West Africa’s poor citizens. It’s been there to protect constitutional coupists and so-called democratically-elected presidents.
Our sources put it, “The final results of the elections in Guinea-Bissau were expected to be announced Thursday, November 27th but, “ Embaló and his “gang” knew they’ve been defeated point blank in the first round avoiding a second round by Dias and his alliance in the opposition.”
Key sources in Bissau revealed that anything is possible. “The military and Embaló are in the same cadre and we wouldn’t be surprised if he’s put back to power again. There was rampant corruption and squandering of our national resources under Embaló ,” a source pointed.
Another source on the phone from Bissau told this medium the military are in touch with the Barrow government to evacuate Embaló and his family to The Gambia until the dust settles down in Bissau.
Meanwhile, our Gambia sources close to the state house revealed that “things are not going well here. In fact, the Gambia National Security Council is meeting tomorrow” solely on Guinea-Bissau. ForGambia News team in Bissau is constantly sending details and updates. This is a developing story we hope to pursue.
