How UDP Will Lose Terribly Again…

This article is not written in the name of forGambia News. So, please forgive the personal pronouns. For years, I spent my clean-earned money on UDP. Each time I send them money, it’s nothing less than $200.00 when American politicians ask for $5.00 campaign contributions.

To bridge a gap between the UDP and other political parties, sometimes I send joint cash collection to both UDP reps and other political groups just to bring them together. In fact, ask Dr. Ismaila Ceesay who advised him to visit Ousainou Darboe before 2021 elections.

UDP has very good critical thinkers and Gambia’s well-wishers. But they are too afraid to confront the few with very low IQs. These low IQs are those that drive away many Gambians from voting for the UDP.

Often, you will see that the low IQs come from very difficult backgrounds or upbringing in extreme hardship. Consequently, they only understand aggression, difficulty getting along with others, intransigence, and insults. They never speak from thoughtful or analytical data.

Key in their leit-motif is this nauseating one: “UDP is the biggest party! Only UDP can salvage Gambia!” as if The Gambia never existed before UDP or Gambians owe UDP their oxygen. Where was UDP when Sanjally Bojang fought for all Gambians to vote when voting was only restricted to Banjul and KMC?

See why I mentioned the low IQ factor? These people are almost impossible to deal with. Look, they can’t even get along among themselves. You think they will know how to be civil? Tupac said it best: “You can’t change a whore into a housewife!”

My mistake was to try to change UDP’s low IQ ones into people-persons in order to attract more and more Gambians to join their ranks. But I failed both with money, time, and the best of dedication. But look at this data and tell me UDP will win 2026:

NBD: UDP can’t win the majority Wollof and Serere votes

WCR: UDP can’t win the majority Jolas who dominate WCR from kalagi to Lamin, Tanji, Darsilameh, Dimbaya, Kiti, etc.

URR: UDP can’t win the majority Fula and Serrahule majority

CRR (Janjangburreh): UDP lost to NPP in the last local gov’t election here

KMC: Talib will be a serious spoil-sport here for the UDP; those who say Talib will only siphon from Barrow’s lot—are you crazy? Darboe who is bigger than Talib couldn’t do that, you think Talib can? If that’s true, then Talib is bigger than Darboe, at least in KMC! Please use your brain cells!

BJL: Not any serious voting block, but counts with 4 legislators. Banjul’s Wollof gravitation might cost UDP a lot with the insults UDP low-IQs have been hurling on other Gambians! Look, they are not even sparing their own UDP key personalities. Gambians don’t vote on issues. You can bring the best programs as manifesto and they will still vote for the dumbest jackass!

How can Darboe win KMC now that UDP is seriously divided there? Now, those who say Talib would siphon mainly from Barrow’s lot; how do you think? Darboe is far bigger than Talib. But how much did UDP pull from NPP even when it was intact under Darboe’s leadership?

At forGambia, we like to think. Allaah loves those who think. Now, UDP never won Foni. Can you tell us it will win Foni in 2026!

UDP lost Kerewan, Basse, etc., even in the last local gov’t election it deemed free and fair. And over all nationwide, UDP beat Barrow by only 14,739 votes. Talib’s splinter group can neutralize that margin in a jiffy! Please go sit down and figure things out intelligently; we can call him all the “Baba” we want, but titling, reverence, discipleship, or nomenclature don’t cast votes—people do!

Yankuba may only command a tiny lead in West Coast; remember he beat Seedy Ceesay by only 25, 517 which may shrink for the presidential race.

Talib beat Bakary Badjie by 12,662. So, UDP’s KMC margin wasn’t threatening at all. Please get these figures in your head, sit at the drawing board and chart the way forward! Dogma isn’t going to help you. You’re not there to fulfill Darboe’s freudian ambition! You’re there to fulfill Gambia’s more deserved ambition!
