Protesters chased two vehicles they believed were carrying Wednesday’s embattled police anti-crime chief, Gorgui Mboob. The vehicles fled the scene amid billowing smoke punctuating the skies. Protesters could be heard shouting in local Wollof, “It’s him! That’s Mboob. He’s running.”

Voices could be heard screaming profanity and words of attack specifically referring to the genitals of Mboob’s mother. Mboob, who lives in Ebo Town is currently at an unknown location. No immediate arrests were made at the scene. We will keep you posted.
