As Tony Blair & Wife Eye Gambia
GAMBIA GETS LESS THAN 1% ROYALTY FROM BP?
Very credible reports reaching forGambia say the Barrow adminsitration has settled for under a one-percent royalty deal with British Petroleum BP, UK’s hawkish oil giant recently. Meanwhile, former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair’s wife is Gambia’s legal representative in a legal battle with Frank Timis, whose Australian oil interest is suing Gambia for a breach of contract. Tony Blair, of late has shown an extremely curious interest in The Gambia, jetting back and forth between UK and the tiny tropical tourist magnet.
More and more British citizens are buying land and operating businesses in The Gambia, while their media giants continue to spew racist and degrading views about Africa which they want the world to see as a global zoo of tigers, lions, chimps, etc. They also want the world to always connect disease, destitution, and hunger to the world’s richest continent as they continue to benefit from its people’s disunity. While such parochial mindset is portrayed, leaders and sometimes celebs run to Gambia and other African countries to buy both land and retirement.
It was a very curious scene when Tony Blair took Adama Barrow under his wing, like his pet around England, especially at the so-called Blair institute as if Theresa May wasn’t the Prime Minister. He had a presser with the clueless Gambian dummy at the institute where Gambians watched on screen the very quintessence of a lost leader in whom Blair, co-hawks and vultures found just more than a puppet.
Why would a poor country most needy of its own resources settle for even 10% royalty for its own resources? And we speak of Africa’s endemic poverty when vultures like these continue to suck our blood and feed on our carcass? Africa doesn’t need foreign aid! Africa needs not foreign intervention in our domestic affairs! Africa needs justice and equity with partners, regardless of race or origin, who sanction and value fairness!
What Africa needs is the liquidation of that sick, pathetic mentality of those who still sanction the belief that Africans or Blacks are one-eight human. This is the bottom line of racist and exploitative deals that continue to impoverish the African continent and her people. And any African leader that speaks like this is labelled a dictator, just like Mugabe. And his own African brethren is fooled and tooled against such leader. The real dictator is the one who comes to our territory and dictates a royalty of less than 1% or perhaps 3 to 5% at best.
The founder of this medium has said on his radio show earlier that there is a second colonization, scramble, and partition of Africa going on right now. A British citizen yesterday told forGambia that water has been a crisis resource for the U.K and Gambia’s fresh water supply has been a fecundity. We want to believe that this is more than just a quest for fresh water, fresh air, fresh green gas, fresh GMO-free food, or fresh genial good! We will continue monitoring this development!
Well said papa keep it up, may Allah guide you, we still waiting to hear your voice.
Regards
Habiboy, thank you. Radio is coming, insha Allaah! We’re very excited and eager for it!
