“Everyone here at the State House is talking about Alieu’s poor performance at the National Assembly. I can tell you Barrow himself was watching the encounter live on TV and [we could] read it on his face, he was so angry and disappointed.”

Ebrima Ceesay former Secretary to the Cabinet who is The Gambia’s ambassador to Russia is said to be recalled, trusted insiders informed this medium.

A State House source revealed to this medium over the weekend with this: “I personally saw him over the weekend here in Banjul.”

We may help save Ceesay a job again with this report since it has been the Barrow government’s style to go against anything we reveal of its plans.

Ceesay was the Barrow official whom, after 2021 fraudulent presidential election ranted in a leaked audio during an intra-NPP dispute.

He argued in that audio that had Ousainou Darboe won in 2021, he and other NPP officials would have been put in Mile II.

But what was the fear and self-incrimination about? It was this Ebrima Ceesay who was reportedly building two storeys simultaneously.

It was alleged that one of the buildings was for his second wife (Maanyo) and he was buying ready-made bricks instead of the traditional way of making his own from trips of sand and cement.

No salary level in Gambia’s civil service can afford any employee such financial viability, especially with the past few years’ dizzying height of inflation.

We tried reaching out to Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary, Lang Yarbo numerous times but no luck yet uptil the time of this report.

Meanwhile, other sources disclosed that so-called Barrow’s advisers were the least impressed with Secretary to cabinet Alieu Njie’s performance at the current commission.

Njie is facing the Special committee at the National Assembly set up to investigate findings of the Janneh commission on former President Jammeh’s properties.

But don’t worry Mr Alieu Njie. Anything we report as a herald is religiously countered by the Barrow gov’t—enough reason for us to stop leaking out many info. We have saved some jobs!

An insider quipped, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Barrow appoints Ebrima Ceesay back as Secretary to cabinet. Everyone here at the State House is talking about Alieu’s poor performance at the National Assembly.”

The source went on, “I can tell you Barrow himself was watching the encounter live on TV and [we could] read it on his face, he was so angry and disappointed.”

Mr. Ebrima Ceesay is also reportedly booked to appear before the National Assembly Comission looking into the hornet’s nest Jammeh assets.
