forGambia Announces Cash Prizes for High School, University Students
With the exception of Gambians leaving abroad, the general public is hereby informed that essays are being invited from Gambian students living in The Gambia for cash prizes to be announced later. For university students, this season’s topic of interest is “leadership” and how it has impacted Gambia. For high school students, an essay on “Why should Gambia import milk” is in question. Essays are not limited by number of words. A focus on content, style, mechanical accuracy, and sentence structure is being hinted.
Eligibility requirements include a valid Gambian citizenship. A current enrollment in any high school or university in The Gambia is encouraged. Participants are required to be non-smokers with clean police record. This does not signify running a police background check. But in the event that a winner has any criminal background, the prize will be forfeited without hesitation.
Participants are required to scan and send copies of photo IDs (student cards, voter’s cards, birth certificate or any form of identification) to gambiano821@gmail.com. For those with whatsapp, please send your entries to 001 417-619-6943. Such is the only registration required. A venue will be decided thereafter for competitors to write their essays on the spot.
This, we hope, will prevent any form of discrepancies. This is just a little contribution on our part to encourage the youth of Gambia’s tomorrow to be future leaders and role models. forGambia Newspaper isn’t legally obliged, whatsoever to meet certain expectations of certain individuals. Winner/winners will be announced on forgambia newspaper and radio.
