The embattled APRC executive and its paid leader Fabakary Tombong Jatta could not bring out people and supporters for another embattled politician, President Adama Barrow in Wednesday’s Buffer Zone Rally. Earlier, the president bragged that he was going to shroud and burry his opponents’ poise, especially on social media.
Observers say Fabakary suffered a serious debacle when the APRC supporters in KMC refused to turn out to even accompany him to Barrow’s Buffer Zone meeting. Please check the pictures yourself. When they sold themselves to Barrow, they bragged that they had already secured 100% of Banjul, 90% of KMC, North Bank, etc.
The APRC executive bragged that they had all these Gambians behind them for Barrow in huge numbers. But they could not prove it Wednesday for Barrow. Also, reports reaching forGambia say NPP members confronted Barrow earlier to vent anger about the failing APRC executive that still couldn’t bring people for Barrow.
The angered NPP loyalists reportedly argued that the president is dishing out millions to Fabakary and his team for bringing nothing to NPP while they (real NPP folks) have been the ones behind the president, doing all the work for the party.
Consequently, it was decided that from thenceforth, Fabakary and his team would have to separate their followers from the NPP lot by telling them to wear their APRC green. This was to show how many actually are behind Fabakary. Again, see the pictures for yourself.
Meanwhile, the teleporting crowd for Barrow from one meeting to another has been tired and exhausted while paying for them successfully is another challenge. We have been reporting here for the past two years that Barrow has been paying people to attend his outings.
Remember in 2019 when the youths of Sukuta refused to accept D2000.00 from Dr. Samateh, the most useless health minister in our history? Those youths were being recruited by Samateh to line the highway in Foni to welcome Barrow. They were going to be transported from Sukuta and surrounding to Foni.
If you want to judge for yourself whether Barrow has support in Brikama or West Coast in general, please check his arrival in Brikama from the meet the people tour, not the pre-arranged SSP rally. That is actually more organic than transporting people to fill Brikama SSP or putting Jaliba Kuyateh along the highway to attract a crowd.
NPP’s Buffer Zone rally! A video can’t lie!
Reader, this is how our money is being spent: paying selfish liars to attend Barrow’s rallies. These rallies were dubbed, “Meet-the-People’s Tour.” Millions are wasted on it while our hospitals lack the most basic supplies such as gloves, vitamin K, blood banks, generator batteries, etc. Voting for Barrow means a continuation of the above.
For the people of Foni, voting for Barrow isn’t only the continuation of the above, but also the continued oppression of the people of Foni, occupation of their land, placing of checkpoints, shooting of more Haruna Jattas and Ismaila Tambas, stealing and slaughtering of more Foni cattle by very hostile Senegalese soldiers, removal and sacking of more Foni sons and daughters from their jobs in gov’t, etc.
Above all, voting for Barrow means keeping our country in the hands of Macky Sall who never wants Gambia to prosper. Gambians are dying and suffering today than ever before. The cost of living is harder today than ever! Why? We will let you answer that yourselves! But many corrupt officials in Barrow’s gov’t have houses or businesses in Dakar while Gambians continue to suffer!
