On Thursday, October 1st 2020, we were tipped by very confidential sources that Bakary Jammeh of Central Bank of The Gambia had declined Barrow’s ministerial job offer. No single newspaper had the scoop or reported it earlier. They would have somersaulted to report it!

Before going to bed last night, we kept receiving more and more tips very damaging to the rattled Barrow cage. We didn’t even report the rest. ForGambia isn’t set up for journalism. We’re not interested in “journalism,”—that’s just “Journalism!”

What we’re interested in is “Gambianism.” We want a better Gambia for our children. Please look at our slogan, “A Gambia built on Meritocracy, Pragmatism, and Honesty!” These three things made Singapore what it is today.

We receive scoops of what goes on at the State House, even about Barrow’s personal matters. But we never report them. Why? Because that’s “Journalism.” We practice “Gambianism” to bequeath a more prosperous Gambia to our children.

We don’t belong to any political party or support any. We’re not interested in any dog or chicken fights! But by God, we’ll show liars and propagandists the beauty of “Gambianism” juxtaposed with so-called “journalism,” a term misappropriated by many a charlatan.

Charlatans that see Barrow destroying our beautiful Gambia, but choose to look the other way; charlatans that see our mothers and sisters suffering in abject poverty, in mud, hot sun, selling just “kutcha” or okra in order to breathe while Adama Barrow and his co-religionists drive multi-million Dalasi vehicles or send their kids to America.

Journalism isn’t our pick of profession. We have a very different expertise, but we see this endeavor as a crusade for Gambia’s fair fare. We are still sitting on more and more stories without publishing them. We don’t make a living out of running this news site and radio! God bless Gambia!
