Reports reaching forGambia say President Adama Barrow is paying people to wear his t-shirt and fill places as he embarks on his twenty-day nation-wide tour. He calls it “Meet the Farmers Tour” when the rainy season is already gone, and with it, the peak season of farmers and agricultural citizens’ concerns.
Our sources quote at least three women spotted in Barra area in the North Bank region taking off their Adama Barrow t-shirts saying, “We are done doing what we were assigned. We’ve got our money and done our job.”
The women, our sources say briskly remove their Barrow-T-shirts and remarked how they were done with a failing president, adding they were going home. We don’t want to waste too much time on this story because it’s not news to us. But it may be to other innocent Gambians without the time or chance to follow events back home.
