The Ecomig president who doesn’t care if Gambians are routinely killed in shops, offices, unsafe streets, or more specifically in the Foni region from the Macky Sall-Adama Barrow drone strikes is again desperately sending his liars to canvas for votes in Bantangjang’s Saturday by-election.
They include Demba Sabally, Dou Sanno, Amul Nyassi, Sulayman Camara among others. Look at their sad and pathetic faces in the pictures. Their inner voices are perhaps telling them, “Really? You telling Foninkas to vote for NPP?”
For almost ten years the same NPP gov’t committed atrocities against the people of Foni. Foni is a region, not a gov’t. But for Macky Sall and Adama Barrow, it was Foni’s fault Yahya Jammeh came to power.
Today, the same Macky Sall is in Jammeh’s shoes. And Barrow knows without Ecomig, Gambians would tear him apart with their bare hands. This is why Gambians are being murdered in offices and streets for lack of public security as long as Barrow and his family are safe.
We did publish this tentative list before. But here is it again:
June 2017, Haruna Jatta shot and killed at close range by Macky Sall’s forces in kanilai, The Gambia during a peaceful protest.
August 2020, Ebou Camara, a native of Bwiam was chased to a Gambian police station by Senegalese forces. His house was broken into by the soldiers.
May 2019, Ismaila Tamba rushed to Bwiam Hospital after being shot by Senegalese soldiers at a checkpoint in Kanilai.
December 2022, Karunorr village in the Foni Kansala, Senegalese soldiers shot and killed three sons of Foni. They were Ebrima Colley, Demba Colley and Alhagie Colley whose bodies were brought to Edward Friancis Small Teaching Hospital.
May 17, 2022 — Seven men reportedly shot during a drone incident. Duwa Badjie, a resident, reported that three people were shot and one died when hit by fire from a military drone believed to be operated by Senegalese forces stationed on the borderline.
Duwa himself would be targeted and later killed by Macky Sall’s forces on Gambian soil, his body snatched to Senegal. They refused to release his body for a considerable amount of time.
Casamance-Foni border shelling in 2022 alone: 4,042 (four thousand and forty-two) children between the ages of 0 and 5 were affected, 703 people were internally displaced according to National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA).
Many children in Foni couldn’t go to school for months causing academic interuptions. Performance consequently dropped in Foni throughout. Many farmers and villagers feared going to their farms to feed families.
No Macky Sall soldier was ever prosecuted by the Barrow gov’t for all these killings and displacement since the gunning down of Haruna Jatta in kanilai in 2017.
On 17 May 2022, young Foni men were shot by a military drone operated by the Senegalese soldiers. Lamin Badjie alias Lang Badjie of Kusamai village and six otherds from Foni Jiking in the Foni Bintang District were part of the casualties.
In December 2022: Mysterious deaths of Foni citizen Sheriffo Gobi Kujabi and Jankeh Bojang.
December 2022, unlawful arrest and detention of Modou Bojang (alkalo) of Karor village, Fabakary Bojang of Karor, and Detective Officer Abdou Jammeh.
December 2022: Six Foni boys hospitalized after sustaining injuries from gun wounds as a result of drone strikes from Senegaleses forces.
December 2022: Yankuba Badjie of Foni was killed in an aerial drone strike by Senegalese forces.
Senegalese Checkpoints causing numerous accidents in Foni since 2017.
Numerous sons and daughters of Foni dismissed from their gov’t jobs by the Barrow administration since 2017.
Foni lands confiscated and given to the Senegalese forces to erect military camps as if this was Palestine.
In 2020, an old man in Foni went searching for his cattle. He found one of them being butchered by Senegalese forces at their military camp. He asked a simple question and he was kidnapped, detained, and asked to do “Monkey-dance.”
More photos of the ECOMIG president’s folks trying to convince Foni Bantangjang people to vote for NPP in Saturday’s by-election is below. Demba Sabally’s Agric Ministry is one of the worst in Barrow’s gov’t. Instead of fixing that, he is wasting our tax Dalasis politiking.
They did the same in the Masembeh by-election, Tobacco Road by-election, Upper Fuladu West by-election, etc., where different ministers and gov’t heads descended to canvas for votes.
They leave their offices, and who knows how many tax payers are waiting for “the minister or deputy governor’s signature!” Those important functions can go to hell! These good-for-nothing brains would rather ‘politik’ for their pockets and self-interests. Allaah’s curse be on all of them when Gambians are suffering and dying every day!
