It’s too early to tell. And let it be understood that here at forGambia, we believe in justice regardless of whose head is at stake! We don’t believe in convenient justice. Nor do we savor time-lined justice! Both goose and gander should have a fair share! We never write for dishonest, low-IQ readers, but for thoughtful, patriotic global citizens, especially those with a sympathetic heart for the impoverished and exploited continent we call Africa. Around 1988, I was a little boy in Brikama, The Gambia. My family raised ducks for the table, especially in Ramadan. My dad had an adopted son from Kiang who was tasked with slaughtering a duck a day. We cherished our home-grown supply chain. Kept in a pen near the house, they would naturally come around the gate thinking that it was feeding time whenever someone came close, except one man—the man who was tasked with chopping off one bird’s head daily until the end of Ramadan. They would flee the entrance gate whenever he came around, even when just taking a walk. He would later joke that even these animals recognized the danger he routinely posed.
Ducks with their duck IQ recognized a threat to their existence. They even fine-tuned it to one man whose face their duck IQ was able to sort out from the rest of our family. And France thinks we can’t recognize its bestiality and the masks on the faces of those posing as Africans, but wreaking a kind of havoc on us worse than slaughter?
How could France think they can fool all the people all the time? Thanks to the oil discovery in Saudi Arabia in the 1930s, the Arabs told the West to build all the infrastructure in the desert-stricken nation. But we Africans are imposed with corrupt behemoths who would accept 3% royalty on oil proceeds and give the rest to Western companies. And that 3% is often embezzled as to leave even our hospitals with inadequate basic supplies.
Look at Nigeria, a country that was, around 2005, the fifth largest oil supplier to the United States of America! But we still see Nigerians cutting hair or stitching shoes in the streets of Gambia since we were kids. Do you see any Saudi citizen stitching shoes (Dr. Shoes) anywhere? Do you see any Dubai national, Qatar or even Kuwait national cutting hair anywhere for crumbs?
This new wind of change will continue to sweep across Africa! Like it or not, we will continue to remove all puppets who seek longevity from foreign powers and hand over our resources to the same powers! Very soon they will sponsor so-called “terrorists” to destabilize Senegal and surrounding so that they could put their troops on our shores. Very soon they will try to sabotage the Senegalese economy to turn the population against the new pan-Africanist government.
But if ducks could develop the IQ to recognize an enemy, it would be more than an insult if us Africans can’t recognize demonic hands that have been destroying us for centuries. Humans are supposed to be more sophisticated than ducks in mentation. No matter how long you keep fooling a people, a day would arrive when at least one of them will rebel.
And he will even devise a plan to fight you for his survival! We cannot continue to receive news of the death of our youths in the high seas from a poorly commissioned boat that capsized on its way to so-called greener pastures of Europe! And we will fight and remove sell-out leaders that continue to impoverish Africa just for their so-called first ladies to continue shopping in expensive malls in Paris, New York, or elsewhere!
