Buba Manneh of Mankamang Kunda, according to police was handling illegal drugs. Eye witnesses also say the guy has been a drug dealer and distributor, in fact arrested, charged, and fined before for the same crime. He had to pay D50,000.00. First alerts we got since Monday evening said Buba was President Adama Barrow’s own nephew! We can’t verify this relationship.
We thought this was too much for us to publish. We thought it wasn’t true unless the police spoke about it. As we type these, Buba Manneh, the Mankamang Kunda drug lord is still free and never arrested. Remember, he isn’t a first offender!
And remember, this is a government that has been accused time and time again of having a special fetish for drug lords or kingpins! This time, it’s not a Banta Keita that is still at large. It is a drug baron that should be the easiest to catch due to the size of the president’s village.
Also, the people of Mankamang Kunda who attacked the police and obstructed the arrest of a drug dealer should be arrested for obstructing justice, aiding and abetting a criminal to repeatedly break our Gambian laws.
Another very serious crime for those same people of Mankamang Kunda is the obstruction of law enforcement officers, especially in a protest method. And worse, this was done in a filthy bid to protect a criminal and law breaker.
They weren’t protesting because a Senegalese national had killed a native of Mankamang Kunda. No one had attacked even a fly in that hamlet. But a mass arrest besotted the people of Sanyang who protested the brutal death of their kin.
As we had said before, nothing much is heard of the real criminal. But the innocent are arrested and violated. The army should be deployed to Mankamang Kunda for the same kind of mass arrest done in Sanyang.
There is no justice in The Gambia under Adama Barrow. The laws of the country don’t apply to Mankamang Kunda just like they didn’t to Ousman James Camara who could break the law and get away with it simply because he pronounces support for the ailing NPP.
And a Mankamang Kunda mob could also do whatever it did and no arrests completed. Worse, a magistrate already discharged the Sanyang youths. But Adama Barrow’s wicked gov’t, just like it viciously did with Three Years Jotna, immediately rearrested them. They are still languishing in jail while the drug dealer in Mankamang Kunda gloats!

It was only few days ago when we did a broadcast that you should never cast any vote for Barrow and his gov’t because he is an arch enemy of yours. According to Standard Newspaper, the people of Mankamang Kunda told police why they didn’t arrest anybody in Kanilai during Yahya Jammeh’s time!
Duh! It’s because there were no drug lords selling and distributing harmful substances in Kanilai during Yahya Jammeh’s time! So, apparently not just Barrow, but many in Mankamang Kunda have the IQ of a fish! You dare not obstruct security officers at a football match during Jammeh’s time, let alone brazenly sell drugs and obstruct their intervention!
IEC’s Frustration about Free/fair Election!
The IEC is simply repeating forGambia’s chronic assertions both in print and broadcast. How many times have we been clamoring that this gov’t isn’t interested in any free and fair elections? It took you this long to realize that? And when will you reassure the citizens that our voters’ cards won’t be in the hands of any foreigners?
