forGambia News just spoke to the executives of the popular 3YRS Jotna movement. They were heading to the police as we publish this story. The group, whose popularity seems to know no limit said it was driving to the police to meet them about several attempts they (the police) made to arrest Sheriff Ceesay, a vanguard member.
Our reporters on the ground hours ago filed reports that Sheriff was still fine and not in any police hands. Sheriff is quoted as saying, “I’m not arrested yet.” Execs told forGambia that police went to Ceesay’s house twice and couldn’t find him.
We will bring the 3YRS Jotna group again on air, here on forGambia Radio. First Barrow and his co-religionists worked extremely hard to sell propaganda against the group, saying it was out to be high on drugs, burn, destroy, or vandalize the nation.
In fact, they purchased two water cannon trucks to help market the propaganda as well as scare Gambians. Amazingly, the group shifted its venue to a non-public area where none will suffer a business loss to looting, vandalism, or any corollaries of a commotion. Some people even chided the group for holding a much-talked march in a location bereft of its intended attention.
Seeing the propaganda failing, coupled with the Barrow administration’s greatest nemesis, Gambians showed up in a historical number. We at forGambia hold the belief that no single protest in our nation’s history has ever registered such multitude, fervor, candor, and above all, peace and measurement. We don’t need to say much!
