One of Turkish Albayrak company's male staff is dating a beautiful Gambian girl. And Adama Barrow’s government is hiding from the public contract documents it signed with the company for the infamous sale of Gambia Ports Authority, insiders told forGambia News.
The 80% share to Albayrak is said to be a charade. “We came to know this scheme because one of the Turks is dating a very pretty female staff who confided to her about the shares and the MOU,” disturbing revelations reaching this medium put it.
There is a huge percentage given to President Barrow himself, according to insiders. We can’t independently ascertain this. “Something is fishy here since the initial stages,” a source disclosed.
It added, “We’re put in the dark and working blindfolded. Everything is collapsing here and staff morale is very discouraging. Can you imagine as a senior [sic] I still don’t have access to the contract documents and the MOU. This is like a gangster cartel.”
Scandalous revelations continued, “The 80% to the Turks and 20% to the GPA is suspicious and is a dirty scheme hatched to benefit few individuals. The Turks are only receiving 30 percent, GPA 20 percent and 30 percent to an unknown beneficiary at the detriment of the country.”
Angry staff warned that The Gambia is on the verge of losing a very competitive port whose strategic location fits well for international naval operations. They called on the National Assembly and the relevant authorities to come to their aid and rescue the seminal asset.
Just last week we saw the Minister of Communications and digital economy, Mr. Lamin Jabbie presenting government’s plan to sell Gamtel/Gamcel to so-called potential buyers to deputies at the National Assembly.
We can’t disclose everything we know due to obvious reasons. But please, we beseech men to avoid looking for any pretty face at GPA these days. We don’t intend to put anybody’s job in jeopardy.
At this, the Turks can easily pinpoint who is disclosing these disturbing tips. But if they will pursue the “pretty,” face, then we will hear more about the Turkish guy too. He isn’t our focus right now.
If you touch the girl, you’ll force her to speak or disclose everything in a court of law. Not just the Turks, but Adama Barrow’s gov’t will be fried.
