Executive members of ‘Three Years Jotna’, in forGambia’s radio show said they have identified people recruited by the Barrow administration to disrepute and sabotage their movement. They added that the organization is in possession of a list and photographs of the recruited people, both in the Kombos and provinces. The police in the Gambia, according to the Chairman of the movement, Mr. Abdou Njie may not know those people. “But we know them and have their list and photographs,” Mr. Njie said.
“They selected these people to cause trouble and damages on our protest day. The executive did not ask me to say this, but it has to be said. The photographs and identities will be displayed when the time comes,” Njie noted. Mr. Njie was live on air with the movement’s spokesperson, Mr. Hagi Suwareh on Tuesday, November 12th 2019.
The association’s spokesperson, Hagi Suwareh reiterated that Gambia’s constitution has a section with clear provision for the resignation of a sitting president in a smooth transfer of power. He said he used to trust President Barrow a lot before he became president because he used to be honest even as a real estate agent doing business on commission of 15%.
“I used to trust him more than myself. He was so honest that when ever one entrusted him with a property to sell, he wouldn’t hesitate to tell you he couldn’t do it if there was excess volume,” Suwareh said. But today, Gambia has a different Adama Barrow.
