Who is Gambian facebook user, Kgnitins Famandts who is attacking Pa Modou Bojang, Kerr Fatou, forGambia, and journalists he described as having Brikama connections?
An angry facebook user going with the pseudonym Kgnitins Famandts has accused popular Gambian radio and online TV hosts for what he described as “persistent struggles with basic English Communication.” The user also accused former Daily Observer of hiring Mandinkas to prominent positions due to tribe and and Brikama origin. He specifically mentioned names like Kalilu Touray, Alieu K. Darboe, and Augustus Mendy for getting roles not from merit but Mandinka tribe or Brikama connection.
In hours’ long back-and-forth with this editor, the keyboard warrior Kgnitins Famandts hurled personal attacks at this writer, accusing him of being hired as a cartoonist, and not a staff reporter at The Daily Observer in the early 2000s. We reproduce below a fraction of his/her attacks against Kerr Fatou founder and Pa Modou Bojang.
As soon as he was put to scrutiny, he deleted all his posts and cancelled the entire thread. First, he accused Kerr fatou and Pa Modou of bad English. However, in his own writing, he spelt “critics” as “crities.” He got angry when this editor pointed it out. Then he began a tirade against Mandinkas and Brikama people at the former Daily Observer.
