Following the most recent desperate move of series by President Adama Barrow in vote rummaging, this time from family members of former president Yahya Jammeh in Kanilai as December nears, Gambia’s former president has reacted angrily by specifically warning elders to “tell Pa Bojang and General Lang Tombong Tamba to immediately desist from using his name in any political gathering. I’ve no business with them and I’ve never communicated with either of them with regards to anything they’re claiming of my plight. I’ll speak to The Gambian people in November and that the sovereignty of the country shouldn’t be compromised and I’ll direct my supporters to vote for a party that’ll salvage the country from foreign occupation,” Jammeh was quoted speaking to family members in Kanilai this morning.

It’s not certain what the exact timeline will be when Jammeh will address the nation in November but one family member familiar with the former President said “I can tell you that Jammeh will surprise the nation in his much-awaited speech next month…”

Shortly before going to press, another family member we spoke to over the phone said “I think Barrow and his cartel are desperate because right now our families are divided bitterly about this…I mean the Jammehs, Kujabis and Bojang’s…These are the families that surround Jammeh and there’s a serious feud and bitterness amongst us. We the young ones will never allow this to exist in between us because of Barrow. We say no to alliance with NPP,” a family member said Friday.

President Barrow had a closed-door meeting with some Jammeh family members in Kanilai where not even his bodyguards were allowed in. Barrow reportedly tried to clear himself off the pillaging of Jammeh’s assets and property, saying the minister handling the case surrounding Jammeh’s assets abruptly left his government. “I think people leave foreign countries and jobs to serve their native lands. But in his case, he said he had secured a job overseas and left,” Barrow allegedly told the Jammehs.

Further, the President also asked the Jammeh family to list the names of all their sons and daughters sacked from his government, promising that he would reinstate them after the elections. He lamented that some of them rejected his offers for positions he wanted to them to run earlier. This editor personally knows some of those Jammeh relatives that rejected the offers.

As we type these, former president Yahya Jammeh’s Range Rover seized by the Barrow cartel is being driven by First Lady Fatou Bah-Barrow’s brother. Jammeh’s assets in millions have been seized and wasted by the same Barrow gov’t. Some innocent Gambians such as Momodou Sabally have been blackballed by the same Barrow gov’t and they aren’t allowed to work for the Gambia gov’t for ever as long as Barrow is president.

Jammeh’s younger brother Ansumana Jammeh was also a victim of Barrow’s witch-hunting wherein his assets were seized and preyed upon. Ansumana couldn’t survive the shock and pressure and he died. But Seedy Njie isn’t barred from working for the gov’t. In fact, he is very close to the same president he vowed wouldn’t be sworn-in on Gambian soil. Even the tractors given by Jammeh weren’t spared by Barrow. Above all, the killer Senegalese forces haven’t been withdrawn from Kanilai or Foni in general.

Haruna Jatta’s family never received any investigations regarding their breadwinner’s shooting and killing. Yet, there are unthinking, heartless, but extremely selfish people using Jammeh’s name to fetch votes for Barrow. Barrow gets his orders from Macky Sall, Jammeh’s worst enemy. And he thinks Jammeh will work with him?

Meanwhile, the corrupt APRC executive was also in Kanilai with their buyer Adama Barrow. But they were hiding from the camera, we were told. However, Rambo Jatta was seen pouring some liquid over his car in Kanilai while the desperate Barrow was there. The people of Kanilai saw this as some black magic and asked children to urinate where Rambo was pouring some “Naso” at.

Hon. Ammul Nyassi

Our sources on the ground say it was Foni Kansala MP Hon. Amul Nyassi who preceded Barrow in Kanilai in very desperate moves to lobby people. Earlier, some Barrow elements used some NIA vehicles and tried to intimidate Foninkas by asking, where’s Mr. X or Y? One specific man with the name Mustapha Manga in an area called Sangajor Forest after Kanfenda was enquired about by the Barrow team. 

When they arrived in Sangajor Forest, they asked the youths “where is Mustapha Manga” and the youths answered that they had no idea. Negligible proponents of Barrow have been aware of a group this editor and other patriotic Foninkas set up to sensitize people years ago till date. Our sensitization team operated ahead of Amul and his team and the people were ready for any pro Barrow sell-out.

The Damage Already Done Before Barrow Arrived!

Our teams in Foni struck hard. People were told to keep away even their kids. In fact, we don’t need to remind the people of Foni how they suffered hardship, harassment, discrimination, and ethnic profiling under Adama Barrow. When Barrow arrived in Kanilai with his imported entourage, even some NPP pick up trucks couldn’t have a hospitable spot to park. One bold native [name withheld] told the Barrow camp to move their vehicle away from his area.

In another humiliating encounter, the Barrow convoy was moving inside Kanilai and First Lady Fatou Bah-Barrow tried waving at some folks in their compounds. But she was booed! Seeing that people had again refused to come out in large numbers to welcome their oppressor, killer, and Macky Sall’s partner-in-crime, the humiliated president then went straight to the Jammeh family where not even his bodyguards were allowed to enter the room he held talks. How did we know what was discussed?

Look at our publication weeks ago about Barrow looking for an excuse to visit Kanilai. Barrow’s short-lived glory is working hand-in-hand with his doom. And he is at an unknown terrain, full of people whose relatives he killed and brought very hostile Macky Sall forces to harass or occupy.

Sainy Jammeh

The key Barrow advocate in the area is a man called Sainey Jammeh whom we will choose to write very little about to avoid breaking families. Sainey’s father and Yahya Jammeh’s father shared the same father. Forgambia isn’t communicating directly with Sainey. 

But about three months ago, former president reportedly called and indicated any day he sets foot on Gambian soil, Sainey will run away. So, Adama Barrow, please keep dishing the ill-gotten money out in desperate moves to buy people! You’ll come back to square one without much support! How we wished we could publish everything we have!
