Very Confidential Sources Say!
President Adama Barrow has, for the first time since assuming the seat of power in The Gambia cancelled his appearance at the UN General Assembly in New York slated for the middle of this month, forGambia News can confidently reveal. And as usual, we hope that this leak would compel our dishonest president to change his mind again owing to our being privy to what obtains around him, and thenceforth come to the States.
A source close to the state house revealed that Gambians in the US are planning to stage a protest against Barrow and his delegation for the rampant corruption and the detention of the 37 youths at Mile II Central prisons currently.
Dr. Isatou Touray is said to be deputizing for the embattled, yet promise-breaking president at the upcoming gathering of world leaders. Mrs.Touray is said to be leading a delegation of about thirty people and would leave Banjul to New York on September 21st, 2019.
Meanwhile, floods have denied Gambians their restful homes in the Serrekunda area where residents say the Gambia government is not doing much to help.
