Kebba Madi Bojang’s NDP submitted registration paperwork since October 8th 2025. But something that shouldn’t take more than twenty-four hours is still being delayed by the Independent Electoral Commission.
A conspiracy surrounding the illegal backway journeys is allegedly being connected to Kebba Madi Bojang’s patronage. Sources say the Barrow administration is sniffing for ways to accuse Bojang of sponsoring the vessels that carry migrants to the high seas.
In December 2023, 41 youths from Jambur in Kebba Madi Bojang’s own town perished off the coast of Mauritania during a migrant journey to Spain. Kebba Malang Bojang a native of Jambur (and not Kebba Madi Bojang), lost four sons from Jambur on one of the deadliest days.
Kebba Madi is perhaps the biggest threat to Barrow’s NPP at least in Jambur and any area he has support from, mainly those NPP supporters that made him a key figure for Barrow to recognize his worth.
To avoid siphoning from any NPP base, the Barrow administration sees the danger posed by Kebba Madi. Consequently, his paperwork is still with the IEC and isn’t registered yet—a process that took Barrow’s NPP lesser amount of time during its registration.
Kebba Madi isn’t alone. ForGambia Newspaper was told Talib Bensouda is being delayed for the same reason. Not that either has the same force as large as the main opposition UDP, but the corrupt NPP gov’t fears anything that draws from it voters.
On Monday, December 1st 2025, Talib submitted paperwork for his Unite Movement’s registration. But again, the corrupt Barrow gov’t is delaying a process as simple as registering a party in mainland Africa’s smallest country.
Sources say Jainaba Bah, chair of the local gov’t commission is being triggered to come up with something negative just to disqualify Talib. “But the lady (Jainaba Bah) hasn’t been cooperating,” a source told forGambia Saturday.
The Commission is nothing but a witch hunt against possible opposition candidates as election nears, a style Adama Barrow possibly learned from Macky Sall’s Senegal and Ouattara’s Ivory Coast.
We choose not to publish details of the reason Mrs. Janinaba Bah is refusing to incriminate Talib. We publish this story with the hope that since it has been the Barrow administration’s style to discredit our publications, Kebba Madi Bojang and Talib’s parties would be issued legal registrations.
Our sources also stated that some serious illegal maneuvers were pursued during Adama Barrow’s candidacy in 2016 to put him up as flagbearer. Barrow, sources alleged, didn’t even have the right high school diploma. Some fake results were reportedly obtained.
We simply challenge Adama Barrow to publish his high school certificate and we will contact WAEC for comparison. Other reports alleged that Barrow didn’t have a genuine high school certificate from WAEC. Whichever theory obtains, let the president publish his certificate or GCE results.
