Nawec is decrying some acts of vandalism against its solar installations in Jambur, West Coast region by unknown actors. The public corporation is seeking the public’s cooperation in reporting any suspects to the authorities. The tips hotline is above. Rows of solar panels were disconnected, their cables cut off in what appears to be bold vandalism or acts of sabotage.

We do understand the public’s anger and frustration against Nawec for alleged extortion shrouded in unjust ‘CashPower’ billings. But this is not the best way to express anger at the government whose cabinet ministers will never sleep in darkness. This affects us poor people! Please talk to your national assembly members about any frustrations instead of acts like this which doesn’t look like thieves’ involvement. Nawec hasn’t reported any missing or stolen panels yet.
